Last Meetings of Visit in America

On December 13 the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli visited the World Bank where he held meetings with its president Mr. Paul Wolfowitz. At the press conference held after this meeting the parties stated that they signed the credit agreement in the amount of 20 million USD which will be spent for rehabilitation of Georgian roads. The head of the reforming group of the World Bank assessed the current reforms in Georgia as successful and explained allocation of a new credit with the positive character of those reforms.

At the end of the visit, on December 14 the Prime Minister of Georgia and senator Richard Lugar discussed the energy issues, settlement of conflicts and membership of Georgia in NATO. The senator expressed his full support to Georgia. HE said he is pleased that in spite of the sanctions imposed by Russia Georgia has a high economic growth rate. Zurab Noghaideli stated: "Of course, we will discuss all those issues which were discussed during my visit to America. Those are energy issues, attraction of investments to Georgia, free trade agreement, conflict regions, integration of Georgia in NATO. We have not only understanding on these matters but full support from the senator Richard Lugar and appreciate this much."
