The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 5 November 2008. The agenda consisted of 25 items.
Before the commencement of the Meeting, Prime Minister Grigol Mgaloblishvili focused on the budget consideration. "I'd like each of you to be well aware of the budget that we are presenting for 2009. This must be the budget that will actually encourage the creation of new jobs and the environment and stimulating factors in our economy that will get our people employed. For this purpose, while planning the budget I'd like to ask you to have closer contact with people employed in your fields to really know the figures presented before you as well as the extent, to which they bear on people. It is my earnest request that we have a closer and more frequent contact with our citizens," Grigol Mgaloblishvili said.
