On November 7, 2007 was held the Meeting of the Government of Georgia. The agenda consisted of 37 items.
In the beginning of the Meeting the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli noted that in the world attention was focused on the events which have taken place in Georgia for the last some days. These events have proved once more that our country is loyal to the democratic principles, all citizens of Georgia enjoy the freedom of speech and possibility to express his will and opinion. This fact was highlighted at those international investment forums which were held past week. At the same time, the Prime Minister of Georgia stated that it is very important for Tbilisi to return to the normal operation, to restore the traffic in Rustaveli Avenue as it was performed that morning. Everybody shall understand that our main goals are restoration of the territorial integrity, economy development, creation of working places and we shall take all our efforts to perform these goals. The business forums held last week, the meeting with OSCE in Tskhinvali Region for settlement of conflict, our activity inside the country serve the same goals.
These days, continued the Prime Minister of Georgia, due to worsening of the weather conditions in some regions occurred the threat of flood. He ordered to the Ministry of Environment Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia to ensure the control over the current situation on the rivers and provide systematically the respective information to the heads of regions and areas in order to prevent the expected peril.
Also, due to the worsening of the weather conditions in the Imereti Region about 10000 people were left without electricity, noted the Prime Minister and ordered to the Ministry of Energy of Georgia to take urgent measures for solution of the problem.
In the end the Prime Minister of Georgia repeated once more that the main problems to be focused on at the economic development of Georgia and creation of additional working places which will base the most important problem of the country - to restore the territorial integrity.
