On July 14-16, 2009 the Georgian Prime Minister was on his working visit in Israel.

Nika Gilauri delivered a speech at the Business Forum arranged in Tel-Aviv: Our goal is to furnish investors fro this country with maximum information, novelties, report about our new financial package which we have provided to public. We see a real economic growth and settlement of certain problems. Then we'll invite Israeli businessmen to Georgia for making investments.

It is nice that approximately 30 top-investors expressed their wish to meet. We talked about sectors, especially communication, health affairs, "said Nika Gilauri.

 

The Georgian Prime Minister met the President of the State of Israel Shimon Peres and the Minister of Regional Cooperation of Israel Silvan Shalom.

 

The main topic of the conversation was traction of investments and creation and business environment in Georgia. They also discussed the issues related to political support and cooperation between the said two countries.

"Political support of this country is vitally important for Georgia. In economic aspect Israel is also a quite important partner, " said the Georgian Prime Minister.
