"Good day. After the government meeting, we have a meeting with representatives of Imereti Region. We are planning to continue such meetings all over the regions. The year 2011 is coming to an end, and this is to be summarized what have been done, what achievements we have had, what the problems are and what we are going to do in 2012. This is an important year, many promises have been given and a good budget has been worked out for the year 2012. This is to be discussed what projects are to be included in the budget and what is to be included in the fund of regions. In total, GEL 466 million is allocated from the budget for Imereti Region. This does not include investments made by private sector; these are State Companies and the State budget only. Two projects are to be mentioned: Samtredia-Zestaponi road, on which more than GEL 90 million is to be spent and a pipeline, on which GEL 45 million is to be spent. This is about big projects, which are of not only regional, but also of the country scale. These projects will be carried out in Imereti Region and local population will be employed on their implementation. On 2012, we have defined a village assistance program, which we had in the past years as well. Funding of this program has been increased. We have considered obligations of Enegro-Pro, Socar and Itera - gasification and installation of individual counters. According to the existing plan, individual counters are to be installed for 25,900 new subscribers while additional 9,500 new subscribers are to be supplied with natural gas in Imereti Region, next year. These are the data which we have as a result of negotiations with Socar, Itera and Enegro-Pro," pointed out Nika Gilauri at the meeting.
