On December 7, 2012, a government meeting was held at the Government Chancellery of Georgia. There were 22 issues on the agenda.
Among the issues to be discussed, a particular interest was expressed towards an amendment to be made to the Bill on Higher Education. According to the abovementioned amendment, a sum for funding of students suffered from 2012 natural disaster will be allocated for the purpose of supporting them to get education, within the framework of a social program. After the end of the meeting, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Bidzina Ivanishvili, called the members of the Cabinet to have even more open relations with media.
