The Prime Minister introduces a new state concept in the field of defence at Vaziani Military Base Print Version

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Vano Merabishvili, and the Minister of Defence, Dimitri Shashkin, met with representatives of the Ministry of Defence, military servants and their family members at Vaziani Military Base. At the meeting, the Prime Minister talked about one of the components of a new state concept in the field of defence based on 3T principle (Total Care, Total Trainings and Total Defence) - Total Care. Vano Merabishvili directed his attention to the specific profit, which is proposed by the abovementioned component to military servants and their family members.

As the Prime Minister has explained, Total Care includes fields of health, education, employment, financial encouragement, provision of residing area and social benefits, and will apply not only to personnel of armed forces, but also their family members and veterans.
With respect to healthcare, within the framework of a new concept, insurance package of military servants under contract and their family members will be improved significantly, while recruits will receive full medical service.
After a one-year mandatory military service, the Ministry of Defence of Georgia will fund a four-year study at Bachelor's program to all persons who entered institutions of higher education, could not obtain the state grant and can not pay education fee. Persons who will prolong a contract military service for the second term, will be funded for their Master's program.

Military servants will be distributed a voucher for computer and English language courses free of charge, while in case of 20-year military service, they will get a GEL 1,000 voucher for professional education. Apart from this, in case of 20-year service in Georgian Armed Forces, a military servant will get a total salary of the last one year, in the form of bonus, until granting a pension.
In case of 16-year contract service, the Ministry of Defence will provide studies of children of a military servant, at Bachelor's program, by the amount of the state grant.

The state will provide families of military servants died for territorial integrity of Georgia or in international missions with residential areas. A residential area will also be granted to a military servant for a special military merit.
The Prime Minster emphasized that the abovementioned novelties will encourage military servants to become more concentrated on fulfillment of their obligations and feel that the state takes care of them and their families.
