During a government session chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, the Cabinet discussed 26 issues. The session included the approval of the "EU-Georgia Visa Regime Liberalization Related Information and Communication," as well as a discussion on key pediatric healthcare projects.
The "EU-Georgia Visa Regime Liberalization Related Information and Communication" calls for new awareness campaigns at the national, regional, and local levels to explain the rights, obligations and other processes related to the Visa Liberalization Plan. Enacting this new communications plan is part of the ongoing efforts related to increasing Georgia's integration into the European Union.

Another key topic of discussion during the government session was ways to enhance pediatric healthcare. A draft degree on "Measures to be taken for the medical treatment of children" was approved. As part of this initiative, the German Chary Organization has funded a medical trip for eight young patients from Georgia. In addition, medicines and medical essentials will be brought to treat 62 children. The German side will undertake all expenses, except the aircraft handling costs (including the aircraft taking off, landing, navigation, land-airport services and aviation security fees) at Tbilisi International Airport. Accordingly, the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs will cover the transportation costs to support this project.
The session also approved a draft decree on the "Instruction on Regional Development Strategy Action Plan." The Instruction was prepared to fulfill the obligations under international treaties, in particular to support the development of action plans, and will continue to foster the regional advisory councils, in particular, the procedure for approval of the Action Plan, which will describe the projects for the development of specific regions.
