H.E. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia chaired the Executive Government Meeting held today at the Government Administration. Cabinet of Ministers discussed 17 items envisaged in the agenda of the meeting.
Amendments will be made with a decision of the Cabinet of Ministers to the Government Resolution N59 on the Adoption of Technical Regulation for the Use of Settlement Territories and of Major Provisions on Urban Development Regulation dated January 15, 2014. By enforcing the Government Resolution it will be possible to introduce temporary restrictions to the process of setting the terms and conditions of architectural/urban planning while processing the urban development documents for settlements.

Amendments are designed to avoid the unplanned construction process. It will directly affect the development of territories both in terms of spatial planning, volumes and visual appearance. One of the key aspects of the Four Point Plan of the Government of Georgia is the spatial planning, which implies the development of land and settlements with a principle of spatial planning. That is why the above-mentioned adjustments need to be made prior to the drafting of urban development documents. The latter offers opportunities to establish the comprehensive, equitable living and working environment and conditions within the country. It will be captured within the following concept: Space for Equal Opportunities. This initiative will improve the interaction of urban and rural areas. It will facilitate the development of sustainable tourism in high terrain regions. It will also offer incentives to investors and create attractive conditions, by thereby reducing the harmful environmental impact.

Draft Government Resolution has been accepted at the Executive Government Meeting today.
Deadlines for the original inspection of natural gas cylinder operated vehicles will be adjusted in line with the amendments proposed to the Government Resolution N80 on the Adoption of Technical Regulations on the Installation and Safe Use of Natural Gas Cylinders in Vehicle and Compliance with Technical Parameters dated January 15, 2014. Namely, preliminary inspection will be performed by and before 01.07.2017. This initiative will apply to light vehicles and public transport aged 20 years and over, instead of the original intention of 24 years and over.
Two more enterprises will be commissioned within the Government Program branded as Produce in Georgia.
JSC Rustavi Oil producing bitumen substances is based in Rustavi at a non-agricultural land plot of 97621.00 m2 with its 6 facilities that will be transferred by the authorities to the entrepreneur for a symbolic price of 1 GEL. Company commits to invest 2 342 904 GEL and produce no less than 25 000 tons of bitumen oil a year. In total 40 new jobs will thus be created.

JSC Innovation Georgia Z.N. will acquire a non-agricultural land plot of 8816.00 m2 in Vaziani Settlement, Martkopi, Gardabani Municipality with its 7 facilities from the authorities for a symbolic price of 1 GEL. Plastic processing plant will be established with an investment of 616 976 GEL to produce no less than 3 000 tons of plastic a year (including the processing of plastic waste, fragments and/or scrap). In total 35 new jobs will thus be created.
