Prime Minister opens the exhibition „Georgia - Cradle of Wine“ Print Version

Unique archeological and ethnographic artifacts from the National Museum of Georgia proving that Georgia has an ancient wine civilization were presented at the Center of Wine Civilization- Cité des Civilisations Du Vin in Bordeaux, France.
Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili opened an exhibition titled "Georgia - Cradle of Wine" in Georgia.
National Museum of Georgia prepared the exposition that presents Georgian wine culture and depicts the longest and uninterrupted 8 000-year long history of winemaking.
The head of the Government visited the exhibition hall.

Numerous events - academic conferences, presentations, and professional wine tastings will be held throughout the 4 month-long exhibition. The said events will be led by the renowned wine experts. Cultural and thematic events dedicated to the exhibition were also held.
Throughout the first week of the exhibition only, the event was attended by around 4000 visitors.
Exhibition "Georgia - Cradle of Wine" will continue in global capital of wine - Bordeaux till November 5. Over 6 million tourists visit Bordeaux annually.
