The working meeting held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili at the Administration of the Government largely concentrated on the outcomes of the summer tourism season as well as steps and priorities aimed at better preparation of the country for the next year's tourism season.
The Prime Minister, as well as the members of the cabinet of ministers discussed existing shortcomings and modifications, implementation of which shall be commenced immediately to ensure that the country is better equipped for the next year's tourism season.

"We are pleased to see the unprecedentedly long tourism season. The inflow of tourists continues with virtually no interruption. We can see that Tbilisi is full of tourists, compared to last fall, we have much more tourists visiting not only Tbilisi, but all destinations. We are largely prepared for the winter season, however, as for the next summer season, we have to analyze the comments da shortcomings as well as areas we will have to work particularly hard on, including infrastructure, service system, transportation, qualification of the tour guides, etc. I have studied said remarks and commentaries that have been systematized and I managed to see many areas that require immediate action to ensure that we are better prepared for the next year's season. I believe that the tourism will grow during the wintertime and during next year as well," - the Prime Minister noted.

During the meeting it was emphasized that the state is focused on improving the quality of the provided services and puts particular emphasis on the remarks made by tourists - guests of the country in the process of refinement of the aforementioned services.

Prime Minister is convinced that the success achieved by Georgia in the tourism industry will further develop the country and contribute to creation of hundreds of thousands of new working places.
"Therefore, it is crucial to start working on the reactions of the tourists that visited Georgia this year in terms of infrastructure, security, service sector and other areas, we have to spare no effort in the cultural sector to ensure that our country is even more attractive and that more working places are being created, particularly across the SMEs. I am glad to see that for the first time this year in Batumi, small guests houses were tightly booked alongside with large hotel chains. This is an additional motivation for developing the hotel chains; for the entrepreneurs to develop their small infrastructure and receive more income," - the Prime Minister noted.

Ministers of Finance, Economy, Culture and Monument Protection, Regional Development and Infrastructure, Internal Affairs and the Head of the National Tourism Administration also participated in the working meeting.
