Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway was officially opened. Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev and Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov symbolically drove in the final railroad spikes, shifted the arrows and opened a memorial board.

Leaders of the five countries took photos and traveled in the first train that passed through the newly opened railway.
