2017-11-03

Tbilisi, November 3, 2017 - Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili made the following statement:

Today we celebrate a very important holiday for our state, Day of Georgian Diplomacy. I congratulate our country's citizens with this day, especially our diplomats.

Every success achieved by us in the international arena should be credited to Georgian diplomacy. Today we are recognized throughout the civilized world as a country committed to Western values, which is a major achievement. It is thanks to the professionalism and tireless work of our diplomats that Georgia is drawing closer and closer to the European and Euro-Atlantic environment, the large European family, where we belong by definition.

We the Georgians take pride in Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani, our great ancestor and diplomatic role model. It is our duty to remain true to the key values and standards ushered in by Sulkhan-Saba Orbeliani.

I am convinced that, through our potential and with firm support from our friends and partners, we will enjoy many more achievements in the international arena.
