I am convinced that this scientific work will continue to discover many more interesting facts about Georgian wine and winemaking, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili commented during today's Government meeting on the findings of internationally acclaimed scientists and researchers about Georgian wine.
According to the Prime Minister, a group of international scientists has worked actively on this issue for four years.

"I am convinced that you are all excited because scientists from different countries, including the US, France, Italy, Canada, Denmark, and Israel, have completed their work and confirmed unanimously that the oldest wine has been discovered in Georgia, and that viniculture originated in and spread from Georgia. We have an opportunity positively to showcase our country worldwide, and this has enabled us to position Georgia in this status at the Center for Wine and Civilizations in Bordeaux. We are excited and proud, and so is every Georgian and every friend of Georgia. I congratulate all of you!" the Prime Minister stated.
