Government of Georgia – Appearance 2017

Prime Minister’s Statement Print Version

2017-12-07

Before today's Government meeting, I spoke about the recent tragedy in Tbilisi that has claimed the lives of two young people, but I did not mention the tragedy in the village of Opshkviti, Tzkaltubo Municipality, in which another 17 year-old was killed.

I would like to apologize to our society for failing to speak about these tragedies together which actually happened around the same time. I do not mean to cause any discontent or resentment, which would have been only fair. This is why I would like to clarify that such incidents, no matter where exactly they take place across Georgia, are taken by us as terrible tragedies, and the state's response to such calamities and tragedies will be nationwide, of course.
