We have also made another important decision to ensure that a candidate nominated by the civil sector has been selected to take the Office of Public Defender. These are very important steps taken by our Government, important in terms of checks and balances. This is why I welcome this strategy. It will enable us to improve the quality of governance in the country, making it more transparent, and it will also be very important in terms of stronger parliamentary control," the Prime Minister sated.
