Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia visited the site of HeidelbergCement Plant in Kaspi today to get briefed about its Modernization Project, construction of which is in its final stage.

Head of Government of Georgia and company management visited the switchboard center of the plant and got briefed about the construction of the new production line.

According to the information provided by the company management, Plant Modernization Project entails the construction of a dry production line of clinker with a state-of-the-art technology, which will substantially reduce the production costs and increase the energy efficiency. At the same time, project envisages the installation of filters with standards and norms practiced in Europe and equipment for permanent monitoring of emissions to control the volume of dust and exhaust fumes.

Modernization Project of HeidelbergCement Plant in Kaspi with an investment value of 100 MLN USD will be completed in Spring of 2019.
