Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, together with the governmental delegation, met with the Georgian diaspora in Brussels. The Head of Government informed the Georgian diaspora about the Georgian Government's implemented and planned reforms, emphasizing substantial changes in the educational sector and emphasizing the Government's top priority seeking to put in place an environment enabling Georgian citizens abroad to make full use of their potential in the homeland.

As it was underlined during the meeting, on the initiative of the Government of Georgia the first special three-level textbook has been created for Georgian Sunday schools abroad which, along with the native language, covers Georgia's history, geography, and culture. Today, Foreign Minister David Zalkalani handed copies of the textbook to the founders of the Sunday schools operating in Belgium.
In addition, the representatives of the diaspora were provided with information about another initiative of the Georgian Government aiming to develop a special web portal for Georgians abroad. With its concept already in place, the diaspora web portal will serve as an effective platform for communication among the state, the private sector, and the diaspora, also enabling compatriots abroad to enjoy all-in-one public services and access a variety of state programs.

During the meeting at the Georgian Embassy in Brussels, the Georgian diaspora also received interesting information from Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Maya Tskitishvili, Minister of Education, Culture and Sport Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Giorgi Kobulia, and Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili.
