Prime Minister Meets with Vilnius University Students to Discuss Georgia’s Ongoing Reforms and European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Print Version

Georgia's ongoing reforms and the country's European and Euro-Atlantic integration were discussed by Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze during today's meeting with Vilnius University's Georgian and Lithuanian students studying the Georgian language.

The Head of Government emphasized the importance of fundamental educational reform and human capital accumulation as paramount preconditions for the country's success. The Prime Minister informed the students about the innovations to be introduced at every level of the system of education.

Mamuka Bakhtadze also pointed out Georgia's achievements on the path to European and Euro-Atlantic integration, underscoring that Europe is Georgia's civilizational choice and the only family in which the country historically belongs.

The Prime Minister commended the growing number of Georgian students opting to receive Lithuanian higher education and thanked the Lithuanian students studying the Georgian language at Vilnius University.

The Head of Government also discussed the importance of sharing Lithuania's successful experience across a variety of areas, including start-up development.

The Q/A format meeting between the Prime Minister and the students was held in the 16th-century library of Vilnius University, with Mamuka Bakhtadze answering questions from both Georgian and Lithuanian students.

Before the meeting, the Prime Minister visited the university's reading room and the Church of St. John and acknowledged his visit by making a record in the guestbook.
