In light of the issue raised by the Ministry of Education, hourly wages for teachers will increase significantly, and the average salary of full-time pedagogues will be 1,800 GEL, Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated at today's Government meeting.
According to the Prime Minister, in 2020 the Government will pay special attention to education in order to increase employment and eliminate the imbalance in our labor market.
"In light of the issue raised by the Ministry of Education, hourly wages for teachers will increase significantly, and the average salary of full-time pedagogues will be 1,800 GEL. As you know, we are implementing a systemic educational reform, and its most important part is the secondary education component. And starting in 2020, we will pay special attention to education in order to increase employment and eliminate the imbalance in our labor market," Giorgi Gakharia said.
