Large project for inner roads rehabilitation to be launched

Within the framework of the Spatial Planning - one of the most important components of the Government's four-point reform plan, large project for inner road rehabilitation will be launched - Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili discussed development of road infrastructure during today's Government meeting. A Korean company has won the tender and within 6 months it will prepare detailed projects for development of an important inner roads, such as: · Achkhoti-Sno-Akhaltsikhe-Juta; · Tsitsamuri-Saguramo-Tskhvarichamia; · Sadakhlo-Akhkerpi-Georgia-Armenia Border; · As well as near Georgia-Azerbaijan Border - Arkhiloskalo-Samtatskaro; · Tsalenjikha-Jvari-Jikhashkari; · Guphta-Oni; · Tbilisi (Pantiani)-Manglisi. Furthermore, other small road portions will be rehabilitated. "We believe project involving a rehabilitation of so many inner roads is very important. First of all this will put all the roads in order and will create jobs for local residents," - Giorgi Kvirikashvili stated.
