The prime minister visited Samtskhe-Javakheti region

On December 27, the Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze arrived in Samtskhe-Javakheti region. In the village of Dviri, he visited the trout breeding enterprise and the cattle farms of individual ownership, where apart form the family members, about 30 people are employed. The private cattle breeding farms were visited by the prime minister in the village of Tsikhisjvari as well. Vladimer Gurgenidze gave a positive assessment to these mini-enterprises, because it will enable the village population to find permanent jobs there. - "I consider it of paramount importance that we discussed the program of inexpensive credits as well as other hot issues. All this is very timely and exciting; the more we have such individual farms, the stronger our village will be and this will enhance revitalization of the rural areas, which in its turn, will bring us closer to accomplishing the main task: Georgia without poverty!" - The prime minister asserted.

In the Cinema House of Bakuriani Vladimer Gurgenidze attended the presentation of a new project, envisaging regulation of land titling and construction of the Didveli area for the years 2007-2009. The prime minister stated that the said project implies building of a whole complex of new hotels which will accommodate 25 thousand people.

During his visit in the region, the prime minister visited the Green Monastery and the Holy Virgin Cathedral in Timotesubani. In the Green Church he was hosted by the Archbishop of Borjomi and Bakuriani, Seraphimus; he thanked the prime minister for the decision of the government on transferring 30 hectares of land in the ownership of the monastery complex.

At closing of his visit, the prime minister viewed the new cable lines and the skiing routes of Bakuriani.
