The meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on december 9, 2009. The Agenda covered 89 items
Prior to beginning of the meeting the Prime Minister Nika Gilauri congratulated Dimitri Shahskin on his new appointment and said that the post of the Minister of Education and Science in the Cabinet of Ministers of Georgia is the most important.
"Education is a strategic direction creating a basis for development and future of the country. I want to wish his good luck and success in his position.
Please note that ministries started arrangement of presentations at the Meting of the Government. They will advise us on the activities performed and the progress achieved during this year, as well as the problems originated.
I want to ask ministers to arrange such presentations to journalists besides the Meeting of the Government in order to advise the society on what was done during this year and what open questions we face. Please inform journalists on plans we have with respect to the next year", said the Georgian Prime Minister.
