Meeting concerning the Law on State Purchases was held at the Chancellery of the Government Print Version

Meeting with respect to the Law on State Purchases was held at the Chancellery of the Government of Georgia, on December 15, 2010. The meeting was carried out on certain issues of amendments to the Law of Georgia on State Purchases and its introduction in practice. Deputy Ministers and State Ministers of Georgia, the Head of LEPL State Purchases Agency, Tato Urjumelashvili, and other officials participated in the meeting. The meeting was presided by the Head of the Chancellery of the Government of Georgia, David Kereselidze.

The Head of LEPL State Purchases Agency, Tato Urjumelashvili discussed amendments to the Law of Georgia on State Purchase in front of participants of the meeting and drew their attention to simplified regulations and terms of purchase. The speaker also mentioned electronic tender and novelties with respect to this. After the abovementioned, T. Urjumelashvili answered questions asked to him.

The Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, Jaba Ebanoidze and the Head of LEPL Sakanonmdeblo Matsne of Georgia (E-Legislative Gazette of the Ministry of Justice), Giorgi Tsiklauri, introduced web page of Sakanonmdeblo Matsne of Georgia - www.matsne.gov.ge - to the audience. It was mentioned that placement of a normative act on the abovementioned web page will be considered as its official publication, from January 1, 2011. The Head of LEPL Sakanonmdeblo Matsne of Georgia expressed his readiness that representatives of Sakanonmdeblo Matsne will carry out respective trainings on using the web page to interested employees of the Ministries.

The meeting was summarized by the Head of Chancellery of the Government of Georgia, David Kereselidze, who thanked the invited guests and mentioned that meetings like that one was quite useful for effective implementation of measures with respect to introduction of separate norms.
