The Prime Minister’s Visit to Turkey

 Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri and Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip ErdoğanOn September 29, 2010, Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri was in Turkey.

Within the visit the Prime Minister of Georgia took part in the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum hosted by the Atlantic Council and met his Turkish colleague Prime Minister of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

During his speech at the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum the Prime Minister of Georgia talked about the energy security issues and the economic reforms carried out in Georgia during the last years.

"Many years ago after the Revolution we thought about what niche was to find in the region and finally we reached the goal.

This is the niche in liberal economics and low taxes. Our prime achievement was the combat corruption. We are making investments in the building of highways and airports. Turkey is the main investor. The energy projects carried out within the region are important. I think that in future Georgia will play a huge role in the European energy security", - declared Nika Gilauri at the Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum hosted by the Atlantic Council.
