Prime Minister visits New ZealandPrime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri, has paid a working visit to New Zealand.

Within the framework of the visit, Nika Gilauri met with the Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key, the parliamentary speaker, Lockwood Smith, parliamentary opposition leader, Phil Goff, the Ministers of Justice and Internal Affairs.

During the meeting of the Prime Ministers of Georgia and New Zealand, Zealand party expressed its support to territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. Mutual relations and future economic cooperation have been discussed. The Prime Minister of New Zealand expressed great interest towards Georgia and his hope that relations between our countries will become more intensive.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand plans to visit Georgia in the future.
The Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri, and the Prime Minister of New Zealand exchanged shirts of rugby teams and the Prime Minister of New Zealand wished success to Georgian rugby team Borjgalosnebi.

Apart from this, the Prime Minister of Georgia, Nika Gilauri, participated in inauguration ceremony of rugby museum as a guest of honour.

Prime Minister visits New Zealand"We discussed mutual relations between Georgia and New Zealand. Support of territorial integrity of Georgia from New Zealand is very important.

 

We have several very important friends in this region, including New Zealand. We are planning to become a member of Pacific Forum as observers in the nearest future.

Besides, I would like to congratulate Georgian rugby players on their victory," declared Nika Gilauri.
