Georgian Prime Minister visits Armenia

Georgian Prime Minister visits ArmeniaThe prime Minister of Georgia paid an official visit to Armenia. Within the framework of the visit, a face to face meeting of Bidzina Ivanishvili and Tigran Sargsyan was held, after which Georgian Prime Minister visits Armenianegotiations of official delegations of Georgia and the Republic of Armenia was carried out. The main topic of negotiations was existing relationship between Armenia and Georgia and the ways of deepening of these relationships.

Delegation, which is headed by Bidzina Ivanishvili includes Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Finances, Economy, Energy, Corrections and Reintegration of Georgia. Georgian Prime Minister visits ArmeniaGivi Shahnazar is also included in the delegation. Georgian Prime Minister had a face-to-face meeting with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan within the framework of the visit. Meeting was held at the palace of Armenian President. The main topic of conversationGeorgian Prime Minister visits Armenia referred to cooperation between two countries. Parties expressed their hopes in respect to deepening of good neighborhood policy in the future. Joint dinner of Georgian Prime Minister and Armenian President was held after meeting. Joint document was signed in the building of Armenian government. Ceremony was attended by complete composition of Georgian delegation. Parties signed cooperation program between Ministry of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia and Ministry of Culture of Armenia for the years 2013-2014. Agreement regarding customs check-points was also signed today. Georgian and Armenian Prime Ministers held joint press-conference in the building of Armenian Georgian Prime Minister visits Armeniagovernment. Georgian and Armenian Prime Ministers introduced results of meeting to journalists and answered their questions. According to Bidzina Ivanishvili Georgian Prime Minister visits ArmeniaGeorgian government will do its best to solve timely those issues that exist between the two countries. Georgian Prime Minister also emphasized the necessity of deepening of economic and trade relationships.
Georgian delegation under leadership of Prime Minister visited Echmiadzin Cathedral and met Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II within the framework of official visit. In the end of the visit Bidzina Ivanishvili went to see exhibits of Institute of Ancient Manuscripts "Matenadaran".
