Today the government meeting was held in the government administration of Georgia led by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili. 31 issues were included in the agenda, 11 issues were added, 3 issues were postponed, and 39 issues were approved.
According to the resolution of the government meeting the government established a meeting body for the purpose of regional development. The title of the meeting body was defined as follows - commission for regional development and local self-government reform. The commission will be led by the Prime Minister and apart from state ministers it will include all the ministers, also chair of Adjara government and governors. "The main activity of the commission will be defining the policy of reform of regional development and self-government reform, coordination and control of activities regarding the mentioned. The commission will start working in the nearest future and prepare a particular plan regarding local self-government reform and regional development", - parliamentary deputy of the government Shalva Tadumadze. Today the bill was approved at the government meeting according to which amendments were made to preferential agricultural credit project for the purpose of optimization of preferential agricultural credit project, extension of farming, supporting farmer cooperation and improving communication. As a result of project optimization preferential agricultural credit project will have two components:
• Preferential agricultural credit for cash flow
• Preferential agricultural credit for fixed assets
Within the program - produce in Georgia 27 projects were approved till now. At the meeting today the government made positive decisions regarding five more projects including two projects on production of construction materials in Tbilisi, one - in Khelvachauri and one - in Kutaisi for production of mattresses and electrodes for electric welding, and the fifth is establishment of a large dairy farm which is calculated for 600 cattle. Totally about 8 million dollars will be invested within two years.
