On September 21, the Prime Minister of Georgia delivered a speech at the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly. Giorgi Kvirikashvili used the UN platform to address Georgian reforms, the Government's four-point reform plan, and construction of the technology universities in the country. The Prime Minister also elaborated on the relations with the Russian Federation as well as Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration. The visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to the US took place on September 19-22.

As a part of his visit, the Prime Minister delivered a speech at the high-level plenary meeting addressing the issue of large movements of refugees and migrants; he also spoke at the high-level meeting organized by Georgia, Estonia and UNDP on the topic of effective institutions. Giorgi Kvirikashvili gave a speech on the topic of the Open Government Partnership (OGP) at the high-level meeting organized by the South Africa and France and addressed the issue of innovative financing for 2030 Sustainable Development Goals at the high-level meeting on the respective issue.
Within the frames of his visit to the USA, Giorgi Kvirikashvili held bilateral meetings as well. Namely, the Prime Minister of Georgia met with the US Deputy Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Giorgi Kvirikashvili also held meetings with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Belgium Charles Michel, President of the European Council Donald Tusk, the first Vice President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans and the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini. The Prime Minister met with President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska and Prime Minister of Moldova Pavel Filip.

Negotiations with the Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation Dana J. Hyde were also held.
As a part of his visit to the USA, Prime Minister attended several official receptions held on behalf of the President of the USA and his wife as well as on behalf of President Clinton and the Atlantic Council in honor of the heads of the delegations.
