Today, the Government's meeting, chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, was held at the Administration of the Government. The Cabinet approved 34 issues on its meeting agenda.

The Government approved the draft decree on the Ministry of Education and Science financing education in 2017-2018 for more than 1,000 students residing in villages along the boundary line. The target group consists of students attending accredited higher education bachelor's degree, certified medic/dentist, or master's degree programs, whose families have suffered property damage as a result of Russia's occupant forces pushing the administrative line into Georgian territory, installing barbed wire and other artificial barriers. The ministry financed 471 students in 2013, 586 in 2014, 736 in 2015, and 905 in 2016, while financing more than 1,000 students this year.

The Cabinet also approved the draft decree on Measures to Be Taken for the Development of the Lebarde Resort, which involves the creation of documentation for the regulation plan of the development of the Lebarde resort.

Under the Georgian Tea state program for tea plantation rehabilitation, a tea processing plant will be established in the village of Opurchkheti, Tzkaltubo Municipality. To this end, at the decree of the Georgian Government, state-owned immovable assets will be leased to Renegade Tea LLC.
Under said state program, another tea processing plant will be established in the village of Gezruli, Chiatura Municipality, with state-owned immovable assets to be leased to RK Khaverdovani Chai Cooperative.

The Government also approved the draft decree that involves the United Water Supply Company of Georgia LLC implementing the initial round of rehabilitation work at the drinking water source facility and water supply network in the Manglisi Settlement with a view to improving the water supply system of the Manglisi Settlement, Tetritzkaro Municipality. The project also involves metering the company's subscribers in the Manglisi Settlement designed to ensure rational water use. The value of works under the project makes up 589,000 GEL.
