As Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated in his speech at today's charity event organized by the Solidarity Fund, it is the extent of social solidarity that measures the strength of any country or society, and social solidarity is the very catalyst that always precipitates positive energy in any society.

Established four years ago, the Solidarity Fund has saved the lives of scores of citizens, the Head of Government emphasized.
The Prime Minister expressed immense gratitude to the event's organizers and participating designers, and commended their and similar initiatives for setting an example for the public.
"The Solidarity Fund, in four years of operation, has accomplished much, indeed. I believe that the results are good, as the fund has saved the lives of many citizens. I would like to express immense gratitude to the event's organizers and designers. Each day like this one enables us to raise the bar for social solidarity in Georgia. I urge all organizations, including the private sector, to be more active, because kindness is contagious, and we need more kindness for the benefit of our nation and country," Mamuka Bakhtadze said.
The charity event showcased clothing and accessories from celebrated Georgian designers. The sales revenue will be donated to the Solidarity Fund.

The Solidarity Fund was established in 2014 on the initiative of the Prime Minister. So far, the fund has financed medical treatment and diagnostics-related expenses both at home and abroad for more than 600 children and young people under 22 suffering from oncological diseases. Since inception, the fund has mobilized more than 15000,000 GEL.
