"Calling of the Patriarch of Georgia for love, mercy, diligence, striving for education is what Georgia needs most today" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia in Mtskheta when attending a festive service dedicated to the 41st Anniversary of Enthronement of His Holiness.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, this term has been unprecedented in terms of building the spirit of wholesomeness in the history of the Church of Georgia.

"I wish to congratulate every orthodox believer with the 41st Anniversary of Enthronement of the Patriarch of Georgia. Within these years a lot of churches and monasteries have been built, rebuilt and restored. It is indeed an unprecedented period of building the spirit of wholesomeness in the history of the Church of Georgia. Calling of the Patriarch of Georgia for love, mercy, diligence, striving for education is indeed what Georgia needs most today. I wish to express my most sincere and enormous gratitude to His Holiness for the great contribution made in the formation of the statehood of Georgia" added the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Head of Government of Georgia congratulated His Holiness with 41st Anniversary of Enthronement from the pulpit also and noted that in the recent decades Georgia has been facing plenty of threats and challenges, but great merits to the Catholicos-Patriarch the country has avoided many of them.

"I wish to congratulate You with this special day and thank you most sincerely and wholeheartedly for the priceless and most dedicated service towards our nation. I want to wish you long life for the benefit of the nation and country of Georgia. Strong Georgian church implies a strong Georgian state, while a strong state implies strong Georgian nation" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.

Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilya II delivered a service at the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral today. The festive liturgy was attended by Salome Zourabichvili, President of Georgia.
