As Head of the Georgian National Tourism Administration Mariam Kvrivishvili stated at today's presentation of the Tourism Administration's 2019 report, through December 27, 2019, Georgia hosted 9.3 million international visitors, 7.1% up year-over-year.

According to Mariam Kvrivishvili, this result, in defiance of all challenges, has been made possible thanks to the coordinated work of the Government and the private sector.

As it was pointed out during the presentation, record-breaking results have also been achieved in the number of tourists as well. Through December of 2019, Georgia hosted 5 million tourists, marking a 6.8% increase year-over-year.

According to the National Tourism Administration, revenues from international travel in January-November of 2019 made up 3,051,424.548 USD, a 35 million USD increase year-over-year.

The presentation of the National Tourism Administration's 2019 report was attended by Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia.

During the event, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava and Head of the National Tourism Administration Mariam Kvrivishvili summarized implemented projected and reviewed statistics for 2019.
The National Tourism Administration's event was also attended by the Speaker of the Parliament, Tbilisi Mayor, and representatives of state institutions, private sector, diplomatic corps, and donor organizations.
