Today, Georgian Prime Minister visited Guria Fish Farming, a salmon farm in the village of Grigoleti, Lanchkhuti Municipality.

The Prime Minister was hosted by Giorgi Chkhaidze, the company's founder.

The project is designed to raise fish in reservoirs using modern technologies. The reservoirs are supplied with seawater from the Black Sea by means of a special pipe.

According to Giorgi Chkhaidze, the scope of production allows for supplying locally raised Norwegian salmon to both domestic and European/Asian markets. The company procures salmon spawn in Norway.
As the Prime Minister emphasized, the Government maximally supports the development of such farms, being committed to continuing this support through various state programs.

The project's value is 8.5 million GEL, of which 5 million GEL is financed under the Produce in Georgia program.

The company's management intends to invest 200 million GEL in this project spanning 5 years.
