Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met Gitanas Nausėda, President of Lietuva within the scope of World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos today.

Dignitaries discussed the close partnership and friendly relations existing between the two countries, as well as on prospects of further deepening of the current partnership. It was noted that partnership between Georgia and Lietuva is based on common values and principles and that Lietuva is one of the most active supporters of Georgia.

The Prime Minister of Georgia spoke about the importance of EU Membership Application, thereby noting that the country hopes to get solid support from partners in the process of its European integration. Discussions touched upon the NATO integration of Georgia, thereby highlighting the importance of support from partners in this process.

The Head of Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the President of Lietuva for his continuous support of sovereignty, territorial integrity and European future of Georgia.

Dignitaries reviewed prospects of further deepening the current economic cooperation between the two countries.

Irakli Garibashvili and Gitanas Nausėda also spoke about the military activities witnessed in Ukraine and exchanged information on the security environment in the region. The Prime Minister of Georgia reiterated solidarity towards people of Ukraine.
