Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia started his visit to the State of Israel by meeting his colleague, Naftali Bennett.

Irakli Garibashvili and Naftali Bennett discussed the key aspects of the cooperation agenda between the two countries.

The Prime Minister of the State of Israel expressed gratitude to Irakli Garibashvili for the second official visit.

"It is no secret that we have a mutual belief and respect towards each other. We appreciate that it has been the second official visit to our country" noted Naftali Bennett.

Irakli Garibashvili thanked his Israeli colleague for hosting him today.

"Mr. Prime Minister, first of all thank you for receiving us. It is a great honor to be here. We are close friends and this friendship dates 26 centuries. Once again, thank you!" noted Irakli Garibashvili.

It was noted that 2022 is a jubilee year for bilateral relations, as the 30th Anniversary is celebrated since the establishment of Diplomatic Relations and positive trend of bilateral cooperation in various areas creates opportunities for further advancing our partnership in a number of areas, including education, infrastructure, tourism, trade, agriculture and others.

Attention was focused at the meeting on the development prospects of current cooperation in defense and security.

Irakli Garibashvili expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister of the State of Israel for the solid support of territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia.

Meeting with the Prime Minister of the State of Israel was attended by Ilia Darchiashvili, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Juansher Burchuladze, Minister of Defense of Georgia; Grigol Liluashvili, Head of State Security Service of Georgia; H.E. Lasha Zhvania, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the State of Israel; Revaz Javelidze, Head of Government Administration.
