Kyriakos Mitsotakis highlights in his letter that Greece and Georgia share longstanding historic, cultural and religious ties.
"On the occasion of the Day of Independence of Georgia, I would like to convey to you my warmest congratulations, as well as my best wishes for the prosperity, welfare and progress of the friendly people of Georgia.
I also seize this opportunity to convey my wholehearted thanks for your congratulatory letter on our national day. Greece and Georgia share longstanding historical, cultural and religious ties. Our cooperation is fruitefully developing on the bilateral and multilateral level and there is great potential for its further deepening and enhancement.
Furthermore, I would like to reiterate that Greece firmly supports sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and remains a staunch supporter of your country's euro-atlantic aspirations.
Please, accept your Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration" reads the letter sent by the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic.
