Visit of the Georgian Prime Minister to the Republic of Austria.

On October 27, 2006 the Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli went to Vienna for a one-day visit to OSCE meeting.

The Prime Minister made a speech before OSCE standing committee. Zurab Nogaideli answered the questions put by the Georgian and foreign journalists at the press conference arranged after the meeting. Most of the questions touched upon the conflicts available ion the territory of Georgia and the Georgian - Russian relations. The same issues were considered at the meeting with OSCE Secretary General Marc Perrin Brichambaut, The Prime Minister focused on the principal position of the Government of Georgia stating that Tskhinvali Region and Abkhazia conflicts could be settled only amicably.

Zurab Nogaideli delivered a lecture at Vienna Diplomatic Academy. The Prime Minister reviewed the already effected and ongoing reforms in Georgia, spoke about the conflicts available on the territory of Georgia and the tough relations between Georgian and Russia and answered the questions of the audience. The meeting was closed by reception; the guests were treated with the Georgian wine.

The visit of the Prime Minister awoke a great interest of the Austrian mass media. Interviews with Zurab Nogaideli were printed in all leading Austrian newspapers.
