On December 9 Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargisyan Visits Georgia on a Working Visit

On 9 December 2008, Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargisyan visited Georgia on a working visit to take part in the Georgia-Armenian Intergovernmental Economic Commission Meeting.

The face-to-face meeting between Prime Minister of Georgia Grigol Mgaloblishvili and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargisyan was held in the Chancellery of the
Government of Georgia.

The Georgia-Armenian Intergovernmental Economic Commission Meeting opened at Courtyard Marriott Hotel.

After the meeting, the Prime Ministers signed the document amending the Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and Armenia as well as the document on cooperation in the cultural sphere.

Prime Minister of Georgia Grigol Mgaloblishvili and Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Tigran Sargisyan met with the representatives of the media.

Prime Minister of Georgia Grigol Mgaloblishvili welcomed the Prime Minister of Georgia again and thanked for his visit in Tbilisi. "The Georgia-Armenian relations are developing very dynamically. At the joint Georgia-Armenian Economic Commission Meeting today, we discussed a wide array of issues and touched upon the amendments to the 14.08.1995 Free Trade Agreement between Georgia and Armenia and the Cultural Cooperation Program for 2008-2010.

I'd like to express my appreciations to all the members of the Commission for quite productive and fruitful work and re-emphasize that together with my colleague we have discussed a wide range of regional as well as international issues," Grigol Mgaloblishvili commented and thanked the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia for interesting and open talks.
