Prime Minister Presents New Education Minister

On 8 December, the Prime Minister of Georgia presented Nika Gvaramia as the new Minister to the employees of the Ministry of Education and Science. Ex-Minister Gia Nodia also attended the meeting. 11 large projects are implemented in the Ministry of Education. As Nika Gvaramia said, the course of the reforms will be maintained. There will be staff reductions as well but skilled specialists will not be affected.

"We are in the middle of important reforms and I believe that these reforms must continue without interruption. It is important to fulfill all the promises under the 18-month plan that we made to our people. We must create adequate working conditions for teachers. This will be the core priority, by which Nika Gvaramia will start work," Grigol Mgaloblishvili said.
