In this respect, the Prime Minister asked Irakli Gvaladze, the Minister of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources, to inform the audience. "A group of geologists has been dispatched to study the situation on site. Rainy weather is expected to hold out. The representatives of the local government and the relevant services are making their best efforts to prevent the tragic consequences," Irakli Gvaladze said.

Vladimer Gurgenidze stressed another point. The Prime Minister stated that the Parliament of Turkey had ratified the Free Trade Agreement between Turkey and Georgia and
that Georgia had been in free trade relations with Turkey for three days already.

The Prime Minister talked about the upcoming visit of the US Government delegation to Georgia that will work on the trade issue only. "The US Government has expressed initiative to deepen and improve the access for the Georgian products to the US market. The US Government delegation will hold a workshop for local exporters to better apprise them of all the opportunities on this largest market in the world. 3400 product types have already been subject to concessionary trade regulations. Last week, our colleagues attended the next meeting in Brussels at which free trade was one of the main topics. The US and European markets are very important to us, as export will grant additional stimulus to the Georgian economy," Vladimer Gurgenidze said.
