The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 27 May 2008. The agenda of the Meeting consisted of 11 items.
Before the commencement of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze congratulated the audience on 26 May - the Day of Restoration of the Statehood of Georgia. Then he said: within the next few weeks we are in for some hard work, as the works on a 50-mont action plan have started. It is a matter of our professional and civil dignity to adequately reflect in it all the promises that made our pre-election platform. All the President's pledges, all the program components regarding the Government have been fully reflected in this year's budget. The Prime Minister of Georgia expressed his thanks to the Government members for that fact that all the items of the 50-day program had actually been fulfilled, that all the initiatives under the program had been launched and that they had to put forward much efforts to get them to the end, and to fulfill the 50-month action plan just as successfully.
