On October 3, 2007 was held the Meeting of the Government of Georgia. The agenda consisted of 21 items.
Before beginning of the Meeting the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed those attended that as of today in Kakheti have been gathered and delivered to wineries for treatment 22000 tons grapes, mainly of Saperavi species. He said that for two-three days in Telavi and Gurjaani regions began the vintage of Rkatsiteli species that means the last phase of the vintage. Therefore we shall be the most careful. The agriculture minister of Georgia Petre Tsiskarishvili, the chief of headquarters "Rtveli-2007" are now in Gurjaani and coordinate all operations related to vintage and storage of grapes. Today in Gurjaani will be held the Meeting of the governmental commission drafting the agriculture policy of Georgia where will be considered the course of current vintage as well as additional measures which will ensure the unimpeded and loss-free harvest.
