On June 6, 2007 was held the Meeting of the Government of Georgia. The agenda consisted of 34 items.

Upon beginning of the Meeting the Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed those attended that in May the inflation rate made up 5%, in five months - 4.4% and in 12 months - 7.3%. All macroeconomic challenges which were issued are in process of performance and 7.3% is the index targeted by us previously. This resulted from the joint work of the Government and National Bank, - said the Prime Minister and expressed his satisfaction about the politics implemented in the country in this direction.

He noted that this year was registered 23300 enterprises that is by 25% more than the number of enterprises established in the same period of the past year. These are new mainly small businesses which have 3-4 working places in average that is very important for the development of the national economy. Within five months of the current year the payroll in the private sector by 55% exceeded the payroll fund issued in the private sector in the same period of the past year. As we are estimating this year in Georgia will be created about 85-90 thousands working places that is 15% of the existing working places Also, the amount of turnover of VAT payers in 4 months as compared with the previous 4 months increased by 37%, - stated the Prime Minister of Georgia.
