The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 11 October 2006. The Agenda consisted of 14 items.

At the beginning of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli briefed the Government members on the commencement of negotiations on 10 October with the Special Representative of NATO General Secretary over the document of intensified dialogue with NATO. He said: Georgia is moving on to a very important stage of her relationship with NATO. The talks over the particular document must be completed soon and afterwards we must all work hard to fulfill the items of the agreed document in order to make another step towards integration into NATO. Georgia's accession to NATO depends on Georgia per se. All must be done to make sure this stage, too is just as successful as the previous one, the Individual Partnership Program. Then the Prime Minister of Georgia called on the Government members for maximum mobilization.

The Prime Minister congratulated Minister of Justice Gia Kavtaradze on the professional holiday. By decision of the President, 11 October was announced as the Day of the Workers of the Ministry of Justice. The Day of the Workers of the Ministry of Justice is celebrated for the first time this year, being related to 11 October 1918. Under the law passed that day, a codification unit was set up with the Ministry of Justice to codify laws and officially publish The Collection of Laws and Government Orders. The filing and issue of legislative and subordinate legal acts still remains as the critical function of the Ministry of Justice.
