Meeting of the 11 August 2006

The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 11 August 2006. The Agenda consisted of 32 items.

At the beginning of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed focused the attention of the Government members on the works underway in Kodori Gorge, which must be completed by the end of September, as winter normally sets in Kodori Gorge from October. He said that he would take the progress of the works under his personal control.

In connection with the situation created in the country due to drought, the Prime Minister of Georgia gave a special instruction to Minister of Agriculture Mikheil Svimonishvili to visit places to study the situation created due to adverse meteorological conditions, particularly in Kakheti and Kartli, and recommend measures for prevention of harvest losses.
