Meeting of the 19 July 2006

The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 19 July 2006. The Agenda consisted of 52 items.

At the beginning of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed the members of the Government that in line with the 18 July Resolution of the Parliament of Georgia on Withdrawal of the CIS Peacekeeping Forces from the Conflict Zone of Abkhazia, the Government of Georgia must start the relevant work, and assigned the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia (G. Bezhuashvili) and the State Minister of Georgia for Resolution of Conflicts (G. Khaindrava) to start preparing the question.

The Prime Minister of Georgia noted that the higher education institution entry exams were in an intensive phase, and asked Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Lomaia to brief the Government members on the situation.

Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Aleksandre Lomaia informed the audience that the higher education institution entry exams were proceeding as planned, peacefully, without any technical problem. He said that there were three exam days left before the expiry of the examination period and that the information on the preliminary enrollment results would be made public in the second half of August.
