The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 28 June 2006. The Agenda consisted of 51 items.
At the beginning of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed the audience: at this point, our core objective is to address the problems in the agricultural sector. First of all, we must renew the composition of the Government Commission set up for coordination of the agrarian policy in Georgia. The work of the Commission must become intensive. The Commission must be staffed with the heads of the Ministry of Agriculture and the economic block of the Government. In line with the instruction from the President of Georgia, they must be given specific assignments to promptly address the current problems in agriculture. Within the next few months, this sphere is going to the priority of the Government of Georgia.
