The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 8 June 2006. The Agenda consisted of 33 items.

At the beginning of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli briefed the audience on the 2006 economic development parameters of Georgia. In particular, he said that more than 30 thousand enterprises had been registered in the first five months of the year. The Prime Minister of Georgia emphasized that if the wage fund of private enterprises from January through May 2005 had been 450 million Lari, the parameter in the similar period of 2006 had increased to 590 million Lari, marking the creation of approximately 70 thousand stable jobs. He added that working in the area was their priority. In addition, strengthening economic reforms continued to remain the core objective of the Government.
