Government of Georgia – Government Meetings 2006 Year

Meeting of the 19 April 2006

The Meeting of the Government of Georgia was held on 19 April 2006. The Agenda consisted of 21 items.

At the beginning of the Meeting, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli informed the Government members that in line with the instruction from the President of Georgia, a special commission must be set up under the supervision of the Prime Minister of Georgia to elaborate a specific action plan for implementation of the reform, and asked Minister of Justice of Georgia Gia Kavtaradze to nominate candidates for the members of the Commission by the end of the day.

The Prime Minister of Georgia also stated: today, the Government of Georgia is starting consideration of the main strategies of the 2007 Draft State Budget of Georgia. The work must be completed in two weeks and the draft must be submitted to the parliament of Georgia. At the same time, the Government will be considering the main strategies of the 2008-2010 Draft State Budget of Georgia. This is quite important, as Georgia is embarking on long-term planning.
